Do I need any special equipment or knowledge?
You don’t need any special equipment beyond a laptop or PC for setup. You will need a free Gmail account and the Google Chrome browser for optimal performance.
In terms of technical knowledge, the system is fully programmed, but you will need to create and link multiple calendars in Google Calendar to your dashboard. Don’t worry—our quick start video and PDF guide will walk you through the process step-by-step.
For a family of 2 adults and 4 children, syncing all your calendars to the dashboard should take approximately 30 minutes. We’ve designed the setup to be as straightforward as possible to get you up and running quickly.
Is there a monthly or yearly subscription?
Absolutely not! We believe in keeping things simple and straightforward. There is only a one-time payment for the system—no ongoing subscriptions. Additionally, all Google G Suite services are free for users.
You’ll also receive free access to our portal, which is continuously updated with valuable hacks and tips to simplify family life. This resource aims to help you and your family maximise the joys of family life and grow in all areas.
Plus, using this system demonstrates to your children the importance of organization and a systematic approach to life. Enjoy a more organised family life without any recurring costs!
Is this system only for people in the UK?
Absolutely not! This system is designed to benefit anyone, anywhere in the world, helping to reduce overwhelm and time poverty.
In our ‘How-to Video’ on Family Finance, we’ll guide you through the process of changing the default currency to your local currency, as it is initially set to pounds sterling. No matter where you are, you can easily tailor the system to fit your needs.
Can I view the system on different devices?
Yes, you can! For mobile access, simply download the Google Sheets app on your Android or iOS device to ensure full functionality.
If you have a TV casting system like an Apple TV or Amazon Fire Stick, you can view the system on your smart TV. This feature is great for family activities, such as planning meals together or scrolling through old photo albums.
To allow all family members to access the system on their devices, they will also need to download the Google Sheets app. You’ll need to grant permission for the system and any shared calendars.
We have a video that explains how to navigate the system on different devices, including specific instructions for Apple iOS users, as the interface can be slightly different from Android
Is this system just for families?
Not at all! While the system is designed with families in mind, you can also purchase the smallest package, which includes options for 1-2 adults and 1 child, and simply delete the child sections if they are not needed. We provide a short video in our portal that guides you through this process.
Additionally, we are developing tailored systems for small businesses, organisations, and student life, with plans to release these by the end of 2024. Stay tuned for updates on these exciting new offerings!
Can I include work commitments in my dashboard?
Yes, you can! Simply use your individual upcoming calendar to add all your work events. These events will then appear on your dashboard, both in the whole family view and your individual view. This way, you can seamlessly integrate your work commitments with your personal and family schedules.
