The ‘why’ behind manage2thrive
Hi, I’m Stuart Kirby, founder of Manage2Thrive. I started this journey from the trenches of juggling family life and personal goals while desperately trying to stay organised. After leaving my job as a college lecturer to focus on raising my daughter and a business, I naively thought I’d have more time on my hands—no more lesson plans or grading, right? Wrong. Suddenly, I found myself not just running a home but trying to balance everything while pursuing my passion: creating a self-defence system that works to embed instinctive skills, particularly for women. Turns out, raising a kid and managing a household is more than just a full-time gig—it’s a whirlwind!
Like many parents, I found myself constantly busy, trying to stay on top of everything. There was little time left to pursue my new course project, WarriorUp—a 20-day online program designed to help good people develop instinctive self-defence skills in under 15 minutes a day.
Despite the challenges, I created my new self-defence course and was thrilled with how much people loved the concept. Despite their enthusiasm, many struggled to prioritise time for the course itself. They were in my boat, experiencing the very same whirlwind of life. I’m a bit of a course junky, so I’ve enrolled in many courses, but found myself constantly derailed by the demands of daily life. Even after completing a fantastic course like Jim Kwik’s “Superbrain” on Mindvalley, I realised that despite learning amazing memory techniques, most of what I’d learned had faded because I wasn’t using them in my life consistently.
I discovered that the rate of application is critical when learning a new skill. Consistent planning is the key to mastering anything—whether it’s a new hobby, fitness goal, or self-defence skill. The reality, though, is that life has a way of throwing endless tasks and distractions at you, making it tough to complete anything in real time.
That’s why I created Manage2Thrive. I wanted an accessible, easy-to-use system that could take on the “load” and remove the sense of overwhelm from life. I realised that to achieve consistently—whether courses, goals, good exam grades, or just staying on top of daily tasks—you need a system in place that automates most of the things you and your family must do. A system to keep you in the driving seat, hold you accountable, and track your progress, to free you up to enjoy life without feeling buried by to-do lists.
Manage2Thrive is the solution I wish I had years ago, and now, I’m excited to share it with you- a system designed to help you stay ultra-organised, set goals and stick to them, no matter how busy life gets. I believe that when you’re not overwhelmed by the chaos of everyday life, there’s so much more room in your mind. You’re free to focus on what matters most—your family, your passions, and living the life you want.
I hope Manage2Thrive helps you as it has helped me.
